According to official records, the mean annual pay for all jobs in the US is $39,190, and the best-paying jobs in the US employ 3 million people. Depending on your discipline and entry level you can expect to benchmark your earning capacity per the figures listed above.

Salary on Industry Basis

The good news for international students looking at a four-year college degree or a higher education program from a reputed college is that they are likely to end up with plum salaries. According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics National Compensation Survey, in the US, white-collar earnings average $21.85 per hour, and are the highest among occupational groups. As against this blue-collar pay averages $15.03 per hour, while the hourly pay of service occupations is at $10.40.
