Get Education loan

If you think you cannot manage finance for your education, you can always apply for a loan from banks to fund your degree or diploma. You just need to meet certain minimum requirements. Education loans are mostly offered by public sector banks. Private banks, except HSBC, do not offer many such loans. You can get an education loan for study in India or abroad.

  • You can get a loan amount of Rs 4 Lacs to Rs 7.5 Lacs against a third-party guarantee. This loan comes with a five percent margin. The loan amount disbursed is 5 % lesser than the sanctioned amount. You need to arrange for the rest of the money. The third-party guarantee can come from any relation, neighbour or friend standing guarantee for the full amount.
  • Education Loan for Abroad Study
  • Amounts worth Rs 7 Lacs and above are usually sanctioned against fixed deposits, NSC certificates, property worth the loan amount and a margin amount of 15 percent. This loan comes with a five percent margin. The loan amount disbursed is 15 % lesser than the sanctioned amount. You need to arrange for the rest of the money.
  • Also, if a loan below Rs 4 Lacs comes at x rate of interest, the loan over Rs 4 Lacs is usually charged one percent higher interest that is x+1.
  • Note: The Reserve Bank of India prescribes the specifics (amount, rate, repayment period) of education loans and the government provides a two per cent subsidy on these loans to the banks.

Career Prospects as pilot

In the recent years, airline industry has seen fierce competition. With the entry of many low cost airlines, the domestic market has suddenly expanded. According to the Federation of Indian Airlines, or FIA, the Indian aviation industry needs more than 4,500 to meet its demand. Furthermore, the attrition rate in the industry is very high. This adds to the rise in average salaries.
Top Recruiters
Jet Airways, Kingfisher Airlines, Spice Jet, Indian Airlines, British Airways, Lufthansa, Singapore Airlines, Gulf Air, Emirates
Average Salaries
Entry level salary of a commercial pilot in a private airline is about Rs 1.5 Lacs. In the recent times the salaries of commercial pilots have multiplied many times and a monthly salary of around Rs.2 Lac or even a higher figure of Rs 4 Lac does not surprise anymore. Midlevel salary could go up to Rs 5 Lacs per month.
Abroad Training
You can also go abroad for pilot training. You can explore foreign locations such as Australia, US, Malaysia and UK for pilot training. But going abroad for pilot training is comparatively expensive. The advantage is that, most of the flying academies in Australia, US, and UK have a shorter duration of course. You can expect to get a CPL in 6-12 months rather than almost 2 years that it takes in India.

Medical Insurance for Studying Abroad

Medical insurance covers both domestic medical and international medical insurances. An international medical insurance may suit one's short or long term international medical concerns, depending upon the need such as the extent of single/multiple plan trips for individuals or families. Generally, international medical insurance covers emergency medical expenses, hospital stays and major surgeries.

Medicines carried while traveling must be checked to ensure that they are not controlled or banned by the government in the traveling country. Allowed medicines should also be correctly labeled in a container along with the prescription from a recognized doctor. It may be more viable to show personal health records along with the medical prescription.

Maximum insurance covers from Indian students abroad come from accident and health ailments followed by pregnancy. Some universities have their own set of requirements while others have set up ties with Indian insurance companies in covering Indian students.
